Wagering requirements explained

What a wagering requirement is

A wagering requirement is the amount you must bet before bonus money, or winnings from it, can be withdrawn. It is written as a multiplier: 35x means you bet 35 times a stated amount.

Which amount the multiplier applies to

  • Bonus only: a 100 bonus at 35x means 3,500 in bets.
  • Bonus and deposit: a 100 deposit plus a 100 bonus at 35x means 7,000 in bets, twice as much.
  • Winnings: free spin winnings of 20 at 40x means 800 in bets.

Games do not count equally

Slots usually count 100%. Table games and live casino often count 10% or nothing, so 10 bet on blackjack may clear only 1 of the requirement. The casino's bonus terms list the rates.

The other terms that matter

  • Maximum bet: one bet above it while a bonus is active can void the bonus and its winnings.
  • Time limit: unfinished wagering expires with the bonus.
  • Maximum cashout: some bonuses cap what you can withdraw from them.

A quick way to compare offers

Multiply the amount the requirement applies to by the multiplier. The lower the total, the easier the bonus is to clear. Our bonus list lets you filter by wagering for this reason.
